I used to work near Blackpool in the late 80's and enjoyed seeing the TVR development machines being put through their paces on the M55. Although they were always a bit "hairy chested" for my tastes, I thought that the TVRs of the 90's and early 00's were good looking, exciting and exceptional value for money.
The writing was on the wall for TVR when they became the plaything of the child of a Russian oligarch and so it turned out. It looks like the rights to the TVR name are now owned by a UK-based company.
I hope that this really is a good-news story and that it isn't just another false dawn fueled by grant money and that TVR goes back to making semi-affordable and exciting cars.
