Just a question from across the pond, which has puzzled me for many years. Why do republican candidates, from as far back as 2008, I seem to recall, have such a hard on for the phrase 'Radical Islamic Terrorism'? They seem hell bent on making the argument that they are not allowed to call Islamist terrorism 'Radical Islamic Terrorism' and get tremendously excited by this idea that the left are denying them this phrase. As far as I know nobody really cares what they call it and they are the only ones that get in such a tiff about it.
