Because of an ordinance led by Berkeley City Councilman Max Anderson and unanimously passed, cell phone retailers in Berkeley are now required to post or hand out fliers warning customers of possible radiation exposure from the mobile devices. Anderson's and the councils motivation may be more than just the unproven claims regarding "possible" RF exposure.
"The people selling these products are not selling them for your good," Anderson said. "They're selling them for profit. They play fast and loose with regulations."
Spend 30 minutes walking around Berkeley and one would think people should be dropping dead in the streets, as 99% of the public has a cell phone within inches of their bodies. Most probably sleep with the damn things as well.
What are the odds that each and every council member has a cell phone?
