University of Missouri President forced to Resign

I read the story looking to see what exactly he did to offend these students, and could not find anything he personally did wrong. Except perhaps not issue a grovelling apology for his White Privilege.

Nevertheless, the football team went on strike and so he had to go. This is the NCAA after all; can't have the football team out of commission, heaven forfend!

Each student used the name "Concerned Student 1950," referring to the year black students were first accepted to the university. They blocked Wolfe's car and the street for about 15 minutes. During this, his car bumped one of the protestors, Jonathan Butler. After the parade, the students released a list of demands, including that the university develop a curriculum of racial awareness and inclusion and that Wolfe send them a handwritten apology, "acknowledge his white male privilege," and "recognize that systems of oppression exist." Wolfe met with protestors on October 27 but didn't satisfy their demands.

Expect more incidents like this to follow. College sports is a big business so if student athletes realize the power they have, they may want to use that power.
