U.S. has now experiencing one of the longest economic expansions in history. So, it's perfectly fair to ask, what will cause the next recession?
The last big one was considered a "financial sector" recession, which it typified by slow recoveries. In contrast, some other ones have been due to very specific events, and typified by sharp downturns and recoveries.
So, the next one: which one, and when? Will it be premeditated as in the 1981 recession, or "unforeseen" crisis like the 2008 one? Or something in between.
