Yes I think these"moderates" are already crazed extremists.
I have never had any intention in drawing/painting etc Mohammed. Why would i? I don't draw pictures of king offa or Clovis I so why would I draw someone else from the early medieval period.
However last week I did. I put together (for the SAGA rules)a early Islamic army as it would have looked(in 28mm pewter figures)at the battle of the ditch. Clearly for historical accuracy I made a Mohammed figure.
It got me thinking, not about the Taliban or Isis or anyone else that would cut my head of for doing so but the "moderate"reaction. That is those who are offended by drawings or paintings of Mohammed.
As far as I can see these"moderates"are already extremists. Getting emotionally worked up over artworks of a early medieval dead guy(who clearly they have never even met)is a extremist reaction. These people are not moderates. There is nothing moderate about them. They have never even met this Mohammed guy.
The normal reaction to a drawing of a guy you have never met,who is not related to you and has been dead for going on 1400 years is to have NO reaction. Either physical or emotional. If you do,guess what that's a EXTREMIST reaction.
I appreciate that what I have written above sounds tounge in cheek but I am completely serious. These "moderates" are in fact extremists-and potentially dangerous. For Pitts sake its just DRAWINGS. If someone gets angry and upset over them that's worrying.
