Neanderthals and Cro magnons interbreeding an ancient perverted activity?

Looking at the remains of Neanderthals with thir beetling eyebrows, short necks and hulking shoulders and huge nose how could a cro magnon possibly be attracted to a female Neanderthal or vice versa. However if these two species ever did interbreed and the evidence can go either way would the act of breeding between the two species be considered by todays standards to be a perverted act?
