I was diagnosed with COPD this Wednesday and the doctor asked if I smoked. The answer was no. He asked if I had ever smoked and the answer was yes. I smoked a few cigarettes when I was at a bar but I quit doing that twentyseven years ago. The doctor didn't say anything else about my haveng smoked.
Like I said I only smoked occassionally and had quit doing even that over two decades ago.
Could my COPD possibly be linked to those handful of cigarettes I smoked so long ago? The doctor didn't say one way or the other.
I'm going to be treated for asthma and the doctor will make an effort to keep this COPD crap from getting worse.
