Is there a way to configure a notebook's touchpad to ignore all "taps" to the pad itself, using only presses on the touchpad's buttons as mouse clicks, and using the touchpad itself only for mouse movement, NOT for "clicks"? I am so tired of inadvertently tapping the pad (sending the mouse cursor/focus to who knows where) that I could scream!
I have tried Touchpad Blocker (http://touchpad-blocker.com), but it does not seem to be doing anything, and the documentation is so poorly-written as to be useless.
I am using a Dell Inspiron notebook under Windows 7.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
ETA:
The device is a Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad. I have pulled up its properties in Control Panel and see nothing pertinent to my problem.
