The New York Post is claiming Obama had the Census Bureau fake the jobs report right before the election.
We've heard this claimed before but I don't know if anyone in any newspaper of "importance" has ever so boldly made it.
NY Post
This Julius Buckmon was so dedicated to this fakery that he was still doing it over a year after he was terminated as an employee for the US Census.

This is has led to the Washington Times calling the election "illegitimate."

The Census employee caught faking the results is Julius Buckmon, according to confidential Census documents obtained by The Post. Buckmon told me in an interview this past weekend that he was told to make up information by higher-ups at Census. Ironically, it was Labors demanding standards that left the door open to manipulation. Labor requires Census to achieve a 90 percent success rate on its interviews meaning it needed to reach 9 out of 10 households targeted and report back on their jobs status. Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, Im told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent. Philadelphia filled the gap with fake interviews. |

A Census spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider that the Census Bureau employee quoted in the story, Julius Buckmon, has not worked there since August 2011. This was first reported by CNBC's Steve Liesman. The Post story never mentions this fact. A spokesman for the Post didn't immediately return a request for comment as to why. |

... The Posts John Crudele revealed that in the final months prior to the 2012 presidential election, the U.S. Census Bureau released fabricated data. In particular, in September 2012, the Census Bureau astonishingly claimed that the unemployment rate had dropped in one month from 8.1 percent to 7.8 percent. I along with many others said that the number was not only bogus, but had been deliberately manipulated to help Mr. Obama achieve a second term. I was right. .... The presidents entire re-election was based on a pack of lies. If the electorate knew the true, destructive nature of the administration, Mr. Obama might never have won. ... This raises the question: If Mr. Obamas entire re-election was based on fraudulent promises and deliberate mendacity, then was his victory illegitimate? If Americans knew then what they know now the Obamacare debacle, the moribund economy, the terrorist assault on Benghazi, the IRS scandal and the growth of a soft police state the president would have lost and lost big. Mr. Obamas regime is imploding. It is only because the U.S. system has fixed, four-year presidential terms that he is still in office. Under a parliamentary system, such as that of Britain or Canada, Mr. Obama would either have been forced to call an early election (and be defeated) |
