Phil Vischer, the man behind the animated "Veggie Tales" franchise, has a new (to me, anyway) show titled "What's in the Bible" (with Buck Denver), in which Vischer and a cast of puppets (all voiced by Vischer. I believe) take viewers through the Bible via songs, skits and animated segments.
It is pretty cleverly done, and owes a lot to The Muppet Show.
Here is where you can view a video of the first five minutes(-ish) of the first episode, which will give you a good flavor for the characters and the show's format:

Susan and I have watched the first two DVDs in the series (loaned to her by one of her co-workers in our church's office, where Susan volunteers).
We are enjoying the show's humor, and I have been pleasantly surprised by its touching on some "difficulties", such as a segment on "How old is the Earth?", in which Vischer says that some Christians believe that the Earth is only six thousand years old, while other Christians believe it to be hundreds of milliions of years old. He went on to say that the difference of opinion hinges on whether the word "Day" in the Bible is a literal, 24-hour day, or a metaphorical, "God day".
He didn't take it any further than that, but I was surprised and impressed that he tackled the subject at all.
