Why is it the case that when I watch my television from my sofa five feet away or so, the images from the television are reflected on my (transparent) coffee table? Surely my ceiling should be reflected rather than something that is five feet away.
I've always found how things that are distant can be reflected right in front of you. Take Newsnight for example, the images behind them are always reflected on the table in front of the newsreader.
