Cultural Diversity Class

Last night in cultural diversity class the instructor was discussing Native Americans. He asked the class, all eight of us, where the Native Americans came from. Since nobody hardly bothers to participate except for myself, I answered that they came from Asia at different times. The instructor then stated that my answer wasn't exactly true. He then spoke about the Cherokee being from Jewish ancestry and mentioned their lighter skin.



What is going on?
