I like to describe Dragon*Con as "Mardi Gras for Geeks! " It's a giant science-fiction/fantasy convention, with lots of live entertainment, a party-like atmosphere, and tracks of panels for science and skepticism as a bonus!
I like to describe its SkepTrack as a "Mini-TAM" of sorts.
It takes place in Atlanta, GA, from Aug 30th to Sept 2nd, 2013.

I have attended D*C from 2006 to 2012. And, I plan to be back in 2014!
However, I can't go this year, because I'm committed to attending Burning Man, part of which take place at the same time. And, I just got back from San Diego Comic-Con as a bit of consolation for that.

But, that doesn't mean the rest of you can't enjoy it!
If you arrive the evening before it starts, you should consider attending the Atlanta Star Party: An party featuring some of your favorite astronomers and other stuff!
