Is Scientology a trap?

I clicked on the banner link and watched some scientology videos and either someone on a video or a voice in my head said "it's a trap!" At any rate it seemed interesting even though I didn't really see many rebels or thinkers like the on the site like they promised. Just good looking folk with smiles.
