This is sort of off-topic, but kind of fits here.

I saw something about an old man in Michigan with cancer who is being jailed for not mowing his lawn. The discussion was about this is the act of an incompetent judge.

But no one actually address the real issue here: the prosecutor.

Judges don't create charges, they judge the arguments from others. The reason the judge sent the person to jail is because the prosecutor asked them to. So not technically the police, this is the behavior of a prosecutor.
