So grade school kid Maddie Mueller (not the investigating one) is banned from wearing a MAGA hat or other pro-Trump/pro-build the ***** wall attire. The school says students should be in an environment where they feel safe. Nothing in the school dress code about political slogans, but they're ok with that. First ammendments, who needs 'em, amirite?
This hat BS is completely out of hand. It's a hat. Yes, it's associated in some circles with white supremacy. But sometimes old Jewish dudes wear them too. It's not a universal symbol for bigotry, although it is churning right along in that direction. Just waiting for the blue counterversion to come out, maybe with a swastika and a 'busters' red line through it. This is going beyond farce.
