Family-owned farm cafe forced to close after threats from vegan activists

This is a story I have some issues with, but I do think the issues it brings up merit discussion.

Quote:

A group of people posing as vegan activists have caused the closure of a much-loved family-friendly cafe after reportedly taunting staff and customers and stealing livestock belonging to the business.

John and Penny Gommans, owners of The Gippy Goat in Yarragon in rural south east Victoria, announced the closure of their cafe following a long streak of targeted “harassment”.

In an emotionally charged post to the business’s Facebook page, the couple said they had come to the decision to close the cafe after months of relentless abuse.

The key problem is with the use of the word 'posing' in the opening sentence. Either the group involved are Vegan Activists or they are not, but the article presents no evidence that they are indeed someone posing as Vegan Activists, however any time a small business is driven to close by people who appear to be driven by quasi-religious zeal, it's not a 'big corporation' who get hurt.
