Wound care

I have several questions about wound care, as I have been undergoing treatment off and on for over a year and am only partly healed. I'm beginning to think that part of the goal is to prolong wound care! I have been to a GP and two specialists, each used slightly different treatments.
Do any of our medical types or others with experience with this have some wisdom for me?
If there's already a thread, please link, because I can't seem to search the forum on this tablet.
