Just received this in my inbox:
these guys protested my wedding (seriously)
XXXXX this is what happens when we step up and step in: We built a movement and got enough signatures to get the Safety for All initiative to end gun violence on the November ballot.
But we havent won yet and this thing only gets tougher.
The NRA sees were gaining momentum, and theyll do anything to stop us (these guys even sent protesters to my wedding).
But heres my message to the NRA: You can try to intimidate us or empty your massive pockets to keep us down. Game on.
This teams charging into the next phase crisscrossing California, engaging supporters and turning out voters to support Safety for All but we need $25,000 coming through online before midnight tomorrow to stay on track.
This is it. Can I count on you to give now to help us raise $25,000 online before midnight tomorrow? I hope youll make a donation to help us ramp up our efforts against the NRA and prevent gun violence in California.
This is going to be a tough one but I know without a doubt we can win. Thanks for everything.
Gavin
I've yet to find an article describing any protests at either of his weddings by anyone, so this might get interesting.
But meanwhile, on the California Law Enforcement front:

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA), the states largest law enforcement union, announced its opposition to Gavin Newsoms ammunition proposal. In an open letter to the citizens of California, CCPOA President Chuck Alexander says that the organization vehemently opposes Newsoms proposal, which lessens our ability to protect ourselves and the public.
The CCPOA is the latest law enforcement organization to stand against Newsoms proposal. The nine organizations represent thousands of officers, prosecutors, sheriffs and other officials on the frontline of public safety. Groups opposing Newsoms proposal so far include:
Association of Deputy District Attorneys of Los Angeles
California Correctional Peace Officers Association
California Fish and Game Wardens Association
California Reserve Peace Officers Association
California State Sheriffs Association
Law Enforcement Action Network
Law Enforcement Alliance of America
San Francisco Veteran Police Officer Association
Western States Sheriffs Association
