I recently happened upon a site that gave me the times of solar middays, as well as distances from the Sun throughout the year. I plotted the graphs shown.
I expected to get a fairly good sinusoidal curve because of the elliptic orbit of Earth but as you can see I plotted two curves. I don't understand why I have the smaller one. Any ideas?
