Gun safety, what's your take?

I collected antique firearms and other items with a "history". I kept them in gun safes. Safes are good storage options, in my opinion, and I had no need to have a ready firearm handy.


And you? Do you keep your guns in a safe? Do you have ready weapons? If so, how do you keep them from becoming a hazard to other people?
