A funny little antiquated law in Quebec; English is illegal

According to BBC, it is illegal in Quebec province to display signage in any other language that doesn't have at least 50% speakers for that language.

That, IMO, is about as retarded as far-right conservative Americans who get upset that things are done in Spanish, like automated phone messages. (You have to press "1" for English or "2" for Spanish,and Americans hate that, for some oddball reason.)

Now that Trudaeu won, any possibility of the Canadian national government telling Quebec to "stuff it?" Seriously, what the hell is the point? (I get it: They feel the need to preserve their French culture. Whatever. It's the 21st century. Who cares? We are all human beings. Jeez. )
