Krakatoa blew up and, as I understand it, the explosion's sound circled the Earth seven times.
1. Is that correct?
2. If so, who did the counting?
3. Was the time interval shorter from some people than other?
4. What was the time interval for the people who counted, if any?
5. How quickly did they come to the conclusion that it was a volcanic event?
6. Could it have been anything else? Meteor is possible, I imagine?
