Is it racist to openly state that you aren't sexually attracted towards black people?

I was reading news when i came across a article where it said that "there was racism inside the LGBT community" with the main evidence being that some homo/bi/transsexuals openly stated that they weren't turned on or otherwise sexually interested in people because of their "racial appearance".

Quote:

On dating apps for lesbian, gay and bisexual guys they can, for example, say "no blacks" and "no Asians" in their profile. The guys that have this text in their profiles declines thus blacks and Asians from being in touch with them.

Samuel Girma, who comes from Ethiopia and lives in Stockholm, says that racism within the LGBT community is common.

- I myself, like a black man, have been told "black guys do not turn me on" and "I'm sorry but I is not attracted to black guys," he says. It is a white privilege to be able to dismiss people because of one's skin color and not myself think that it is racist.

-Journalists who investigate the "gay-world" rarely do it with a critical angle. It can contribute to this type of opinions takes hold and becomes socially acceptable, says Robert Mellberg who is a director of RFSL Youth.

He adds that it does not involve sexual preferences.

- There is no problem to have a preference. However, it becomes a problem when you communicate your preferences in a way that could be perceived as offensive, explains Robert Mellberg.

So considering the last statement i guess the important question is: how would one, in a non-offensive way, state that one is or isn't interested in people based upon their "race"? Although it honestly seems a little deeper than that.

Would saying "I'm not interested in old men, only guys 20 aged or younger" or "I don't like young guys, be at least 35 and over" be ageist discrimination? What about other preferences such as people being fat/thin, small/thin or hairy/shaved?
