College Student Spring Break Gang Rape: CAUGHT ON TAPE!

Rape Culture for all the world to see.

Bay County (Fla.) Sheriff Frank McKeithen said he "will not back off" in seeking changes to tamp down spring break behavior in Panama City Beach Friday after two Troy University students were arrested in connection with a video that McKeithen said showed a "gang rape" that occurred on the beaches of Panama City Beach last month.

McKeithen said the video shows a 19-year-old victim who appeared to be incapacitated on a chair behind Spinnaker Beach Club when she was assaulted by multiple men. McKeithen said the incident occurred "in the broad, open daylight," and hundreds of bystanders did not try to stop the incident or report it to authorities.

"Within 10 feet from where this is happening there are hundreds, hundreds of people standing there watching, looking, seeing, hearing what is going on, and yet our culture and our society and our young people have got to the point where obviously this is acceptable somewhere, but I will tell you it is not acceptable in Bay County," McKeithen said.

What's worse, the gang rape or the bystanders? The gang rape, obviously but this perfectly demonstrates the mentality these privileged college students have so internalized that they think they can get away with this.

The Bay County Sheriff's Office announced a third arrest Wednesday in what they have described as a "gang rape" that took place on the beaches of Panama City Beach during spring break.

According to a release from the BCSO, investigators believe George Davon Kennedy was one of the men pictured in a cell phone video assaulting an incapacitated woman on the beach. The victim reportedly did not remember the assault and authorities say there is a "strong possibility" she was drugged before the incident.

According to the news release, Kennedy is a student at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. was arrested in DeKalb County, Ga., where his family lives. He was arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office and charged with sexual battery by multiple perpetrators.

Ryan Austin Calhoun of Mobile, Ala. and Delonte Martistee have already been similarly charged. Calhoun posted $50,000 bond and Martistee remained in the Bay County Jail as of Tuesday evening. http://ift.tt/1yFmE5y

Hurm...actually looking at those mugshots...these guys are apparently members of an established Victim Class, meaning there are no Larger Truths to this story re: White Privilege or Rape Culture. This is just a local crime story.

The real crime here is the dehumanizing language used by the sheriff to describe the suspects.

"This is disgusting," he said. "We have got to get control of our beaches, it is not safe for our children to be out there on the beaches when these animals are out there."

Calling them "animals". Really? In this day and age? Doesn't he know that rapists have the feelz too? That sort of language almost guarantees they'll reoffend. Too judgmental.
