April 14th marks the 150th Anniversary of the death of Abraham Lincoln. Theories about a vast conspriacy behind his killing started the night of his death and have been going on ever since.
The crackpot Lincoln theories have been overshadowed by the more recent Kennedy assination,but the Lincoln theories are still with us and most of them just as crackpot as the Kennedy theories.
No ones denies that there was a conspriacy to kill Lincoln, but there is NO proof that it extended beyond Booth and his small group of fellow conspirators.
The most popular crackpot theory is that Stanton, Lincoln's secratary of war was behind it....for which there is no proof whatsoever.
Then you have the Catholic theory..that the pope was behind the killing...which still has advocates among the more militan Anti Catholic wing of Protestent Fundies.

"The Lincoln Murder Consparicies" is a through debunking of the crackpot conspriacy theories. It's does for the Lincoln Murder what "Case Closed" did for the Kennedy assisanation.

There are ,of course, a lot of questions which reputable historians disagree on: Whether Mary Suratt was wronglyfully convicted;Whether Mudd was the innocent figure that legends makes him out to be,but these are toally different the the crackpot theories that have dominated the discussion.
