I am trying to capture video from a video camera to my HDD.
I am using a Plextor video capture device to capture the video to a file, WinDVD Creator to edit and transcode the file into a PAL HQ format, and Nero Vision to burn the disk.
I am having trouble with synchronising of the sound, which I have found to sometimes be hardly noticeable, and sometimes up to 2 seconds out (sound leads vision).
The Convertex device outputs an AVI file, and when I watch and listen to the Win DVD creator live (on the computer's sound system) while the stream is being captured, the synch is fine, but when I play back the AVI file the sync is out.
Anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong and how to fix/prevent this?
