Fellow (a police officer, BTW) had to be hospitalized to remove some 40 open pocketknives that he had swallowed over 2 months.
Needless to say, he began to experience internal bleeding:

I've heard of weird cases of "pica", compulsive swallowing of metallic objects, buttons, paperclips, and the like.....Years ago I read of a 40-pound mass of same being removed from one such sufferer.
But open knives? Not tasty, my friends, not tasty.
