Years ago, my sister bought a hairless cat (for an obscene amount of money), and the owners made her sign a contract stating she would never have the cat declawed.
My sister never did have the cat declawed, but I always wondered, what if she did? It's her property. How could a former owner have any say in the matter? Could they repossess the cat? If I bought a car, and signed a contract never to paint it white, could the former owner repossess my car if they found out I painted it white?
