I've run into what I believe is an impossible request at work, but I can't convince the suits if that until I attempt to move heaven and earth finding a solution.
There's a very large Crystal Report being run out of our application. It includes a LOT of sections and subreports (140 plus- I didn't write this mess). The users want three particular sections to remain on the report, visible on screen and when the report is exported electronically as PDF...but they want those three particular sections to not print out physically when the report is printed.
Does anybody know if this is possible? Suppress and drill down won't work because it would hide those sections' visibility. Our users are not capable of using drill down.
All I can think of is making a second copy of the report that doesn't include those sections at all, but I'd rather not because it's frickinh huge and would take forever to make, as well as requiring double set-up in the application.
Any ideas?
