CES 2014

Starting this week. Lots of talk of dual Windows/Android devices, that will probably sell worse than Windows 8.

Google announced an Android car group with some car manufacturers. Nothing specific.

Nvidia announced the new Tegra chip with 192 cores. I think it could have used just five more.

The "internet of things" is supposed to start thinging.

More 4K and curved TVs. Dobly is announcing some new image processing, or something. Not sure if it will take off.

LG is hyping webOS for its TVs.

Samsung and others want to control your house. But I don't want to worry about buying appliances in-network.

More watches and wearables, because that has been working so well.

YouTube has 4K streaming standard. Meanwhile I can't stream current HD.

More gadgets and gizmos to come. Most press events later today.
