The framing of misconduct accusations in science as "opinion" (including here, where it is regularly done by a variety of malfeasants) appears to finally have been overdone to the point a judge is questioning it, among other things.
Still, it will be interesting to see how this plays out, and ends in what court, etc. Maybe scientists will again be able to defend themselves against the vile loonies on both right and left.
