When you click the"Start" button in Vista to shut down the PC, a red "Shut Down" button appears.
Clicking that opens a menu with options like Sleep, Hibernate, Fly south for Winter and shut down. It opens with "Sleep" as default.
Shutting down this pc therefore requires 5 select and click operations.
In Win 7, it takes 2. Click Start. Click Shut Down.Easy.
I've been asked to get the Vista machine to do the same. How do I go about it?
In power options, the power button is set to "Shut Down" and the sleep button (whatever that is) to "sleep".
