No, really, it wasn't all his fault. Apparently there was a rumour that feral parakeets in the UK were descended from a pair released by Jimi Hendrix in the 1960's, but a study on invasive species has found references to them as far back as the 1860's. A somewhat confused BBC News article appears to be suggesting tht Hendrix is now therefore exonerated from blame for psittacosis scares in 1929 and 1952, implying that he hadn't invented time travel by then either.
