Sexual Swearing.

Having some knowledge of Swedish (I was born there) and other languages including Thai, I am puzzled by the emphasis on matters sexual in English swearing. The "F" word, "C" word, and quite a few others, are those that colour our speach, whereas speakers of other languages like Swedish, have cuss words about Devils work and such. Not being any kind of linguistic expert I can't comment with authority about other languages and would like some input from others about this.

One further embellishment of some relevance is the way we use words like ****** in a non sexual context. It really makes no sense when you think about it. In Thai however there is the word "yet" (transliterated) which is a very rude word referring to copulation. From my observation after living in Thailand for almost seven years the word is not used in a non sexual context.
