Tablet battery replacement

I've had my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for a couple of years, and the battery life was going downhill rapidly.
This is evidently a common complaint....

So, I sent off to Amazon for one of the replacement kits, which arrived today.

Rather a mixed bag.... There are no instructions; rather, you are referred to YouTube.

They give you some rather cheesy tools...

The video made the job look slick as hell. So, I started in. First up...The cheesy prying tool promptly broke. However, i found that by teasing the case open a bit I could wedge the rest of the thing into the crack and by twisting I could work the case open.

The video showed 10 screws being removed to free the battery. Mine had 4 and 4 snap connectors... No biggie. The little mini-screwdriver did fit the screws.

Re-assembled... And it didn't work. Video display all messed up.

So, I took it apart again, and re-checked the three multi-strand wire connectors... Making sure each one was seated fully before locking down the little (VERY little) locking levers.

This time it worked. Seems fine. We'll see if the battery life is improved.
