This thread is intended for general discussion of SpaceX, their rockets and plans for future missions.
I'm a huge fan of SpaceX and am very excited to see their plans for a Mars shot coming along nicely. Just recently they added pricing to their official site for payloads to Mars.
4t will cost you $62 million, and for the low low price of $90 million, they'll loft nearly 13t to Mars for you.
Questions to get us started: are those figures to Mars orbit, or to the surface? Must be orbit right? I mean the best nasa could do to the surface was 1t with curiosity...
For the non technical: if you could afford a launch, what would you send to Mars? (obvious answers like politicians and lawyers will generate only groans, so let's try to be serious [emoji14])
