Conspiracy Theorist: A derogatory term used to dismiss a critical thinker

I have a Facebook friend that posts constantly about every crazy conspiracy out there. Today she posted a meme from one such Facebook group which said "Conspiracy Theorist: A derogatory term used to dismiss a critical thinker." Yes, it takes a lot of critical thinking to repost nutty website stories without even performing a simple google search. It just kinda boggles my mind that this is how they see themselves.
