I started wondering about this when Corbyn (Sp?) proposed stopping Trident.
Does a country like the UK, no longer an empire, under the US atomic umbrella, need it's own offensive nuke program?
Does NATO need the UK (and France) as independent nuclear powers?
Presumably these are massively expensive programs.
Thoughts?
