Since the prevalent mechanism for collapse is composite ROOSD, I have a question?

ROOSD appears to be a much faster mechanism than Column core crushing, almost a second faster, than The mechanisms in BLBG, so what is slowing down the collapse front?
Is it?
Mass shedding,
Air resistance,
Fuel air blasts?

Or something else, your thoughts please, just curious.
