A Couple of Thoughtful Appointments

President Obama has appointed some good fundraisers to ambassador posts. I guess that is normal for both parties.

Quote:

A prominent Obama bundler nominated to be ambassador to Argentina acknowledged that he had never set foot in the country and isn’t fluent in Spanish.

Colleen Bell the new ambassador to Hungary has extensive experience. Producing the Bold and the Beautiful.

Senator McCain takes exception to this appointment because

Quote:

McCain said Hungary is experiencing intense pressures from Russian President Vladimir Putin and confirming Bell to deal with the problem sends a message that the United States isn’t serious about its ambassadorships.

But then he takes exception with most everything especially lately.

Quote:

The White House spokesman insisted that Bell "was not chosen" because of her fundraising on behalf of the president, adding that Obama did not take ambassadorial selections "lightly."

"The reason that she was chosen is because the president has complete confidence in her ability to represent the United States in that country," Earnest said.

At least just tell the truth she was appointed because she has helped raise large sums of money for the president and the democrat party.
