Freezing water experiment

The temperature now is -10 F. This is quite rare for Indiana. So, I decided to test the water experiment. I tried putting about a cup of tap water in a pan and throwing it into the air. The result was what you would expect, that the water simply fell down to the ground. So, I tried warming the water up more and this time I did see some fine ice crystals form in the air. I tried boiling the water and this produced the best result with probably 3/4 of the water freezing in the air. Apparently, it needs to be colder than -10 for it all to freeze. The video I saw online showed it freezing quite easily but that was -20. So, maybe at about -15, it would all freeze.

There's nothing quite like testing for yourself.
