FB takes action against Pro-Vaccination group

The FB group "Anti-Vax Wall of Shame" had been shut down by FB.

AVWOS was a FB group of people who would share anti-vax nonsense posted on the internet. We would often share notes and help one another with rebuttals of the anti-science arguments that the anti-vaxers often make in news article and blog post comment threads and on various FB pages. By most measures, it was not a large group (just over 1000 members, and generally about 30-50 very active members).

Anti-vaxers recently became aware of a method of "gaming" the FB community standards algorithms to delete posts from Pro-vaccination posters in FB discussions. They technique (which was openly discussed and encouraged on anti-vax FB pages) quickly became so widespread among the anti-vax crowd that AVWOS has been taken down completely, and the page owner has received a seven day suspension. This, in spite of the fact that the FB terms of service had not actually been violated in letter or spirit.

I agree that FB has the right to do things like that "at will", and I frankly don't see any alternative for a company like FB who must handle tens of millions of user gripes except to use algorithms which could potentially be gamed. However, I am shocked by the ability for a minority of anti-science jerks to silence a group which promotes life medical science.

How should anti-vaccination nonsense be addressed if not by rebutting arguments in the same public forums in which they are advanced?
