Android update messed things up, so I need email help.

OK, so yesterday Android did one of its happy funtime updates and now I cannot read the web-based email I use for the store.



So I want to get this email but I have several criteria:



1) I want the program to be completely seperate from my personal email. As in I want it to be a completely different program. I open one app for my own email and another for the work email. For the record I am using the Android default mail program for my personal mail.



2) I want the emails to download but not get removed from the server. A lot of the time I have to reply to the email with a real keyboard so I want to be certain the email will still be there when I get back to a real computer.



What I fear is the gross intrusiveness of Android apps will totally screw me from the outset. The scenario I see goes like this:



Me: Yay! New email app downloaded

Email App: Hi! I'm your new email app! Let me just grab you personal email info from the default app and...

Me: NO! DIE DIE DIE!



I want to avoid this.



I'd also like an email program that isn't butt.



Any advise?
