Backward time travel carries its own self-defeating paradox. Forget about grandfathers. You must have a machine that travels backward through time while permitting your conscious time stream and all cellular life processes to continue forward, along the downhill slide of increasing entropy, while establishing simultaneous movement up that slope. It can’t be made to work.
