It's a very pretty coastal resort town in phouc tuy, Vietnam.
I am going on a 4 week trip with some friends, we were there together in the late 60's It will be a strange time. I had a relatively easy time there but some of the people going with me experienced very traumatic times.
I have not been a person that attends a lot of reunions. I remain very close to one person who I shared a pit with for 2 months before getting a pogo job running errands at TF HQ.
There is one village I really want to see again. Some of the people there should still be alive and it will be good to see what happened to them. We would give them food, medicine and smiles by day and lie awake at night in the bush to ambush curfew breakers. Saved some with medical killed some with mgs....it was what the place was like.
I have missed some earlier trips but at my age I don,t want to leave it much later...I feel quite nervous having finally decided to go.
