Trump, China and NK

So the Golden Boy is complaining that China isn't to be trusted in trade deals, and is manipulative. He is seeking to address these issues - obviously putting China at a disadvantage.

He also wants them to address the problem of North Korea. I've no idea why he thinks that they would want to (apart from removing a very erratic leader). The North Koreans tie up a significant number of US forces, if they kicked off it would tie up a great deal more. A win-win situation for them.

The only issue that I can see that China would be right royally hacked off with is if NK actually was stupid enough to try and use a nuke. Partly because of the destabilising effects and partly because of the local effects from the explosion.

What makes the fool think he can have everything? Even worse, what happens if he does act unilaterally? Where do the rest of the UN fit in, do we meekly fall in line and support his adventurism? We've had decades of misguided interventions - Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, The Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Suez, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan. I certainly didn't sign up and wear baggy green skin just for some mentally screwed up TV personality to drag us, in-necessarily into hell yet again.
