A medal for Joe Biden

President Obama awarded Joe Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom at a surprise ceremony today, and Biden's impromptu, tearful expression of thanks was a picture of modesty and gratitude and graciousness (and corny jokes) that, in comparison with the president-elect's crude bloviations yesterday about Nazis conspiring against him, left me wishing we could turn back the clock. It's a heartbreaking tragedy that we won't be inaugurating Biden next week.
