This is far fetched but could humans not one day build space stations and orbit Mars and work on Mars during the day and live in the space station at night?
Bill Nyes biggest objection to a human colony on Mars is the weak gravity that would harm the health of humans trying to live there and an infant born on Mars would be a disaster. Even if the child survived its heart would not be able to work properly if the child ever came to earth.
Humans could live on the station, get their education on the station , farm on Mars and overall stay in the station when the work is over.
You would have to make sure the station had the same gravity as the earth.
